Science

PCA offers a broad science program integrating the traditional 9th grade course into the 8th grade curriculum so that all students can have the opportunity to take an AP science course before graduation.  The program includes Biology, Chemistry, Physics and elective offerings in Environmental Science and Marine Biology.  A new offering in software engineering helps complete the STEM concentration.  As students move through the science curriculum there is a particular focus on preparing students to study science at the college level, including lab preparation, critical thinking skill development, and scientific thinking capacity.

PCA does not believe that science stands in contrast to faith.  Students learn the excitement of understanding the complexities of a world made by an intelligent designer.  Students see the importance of integrating a biblical understanding of the world into all that they do in science.
