Theatre

“All the world’s a stage…”  Well, at least this corner of it is.

Students at PCA have the opportunity to participate in two full-length productions each year.  In recent years productions have include musicals such as Cinderella, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Music Man.  Comedies have been common fare as well with productions of Murder is Bad, but Monday will Kill You and Four Way: The Town that Time Forgot.

Beginning in the 2009-10 school year, the school expanded the opportunities in theatre with programs for students from Kindergarten through grade 12.  For grades K-5 this means a chance to become acquainted with theatre, production, movement and dance through offerings in the Kaleidoscope program.  Junior high and Upper School students will both be welcome to audition for parts in the regular productions.

Theatre gives an opportunity to say something about the world – to reflect the world for the way the world really is and thereby create opportunities for speaking biblical truth into it.
