Beauty and the Beast is the tale of Belle, a young woman in a provincial French town, and the Beast, whose arrogance and cruel nature causes a spell to be placed on him by an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

“Beauty and the Beast is by far our biggest and most spectacular production yet,” says co-director John MacLeod.  “A cast of nearly 40 students and a dozen parent volunteers have been working since February.  Over 75 costumes, a massive set, special effects, and as always at PCA, a live professional orchestra, all combine to make PCA Player’s Beauty and the Beast MUST SEE theatre.”

“There will be special opportunities for young audience members to meet and take pictures and autographs with all their favorite characters, and even a chance to interact with the show at the most crucial moment (think clapping to save Tinker Bell at the end of Peter Pan).”

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast has become one of the most popular musicals in history, with professional productions having been seen by over 35 million people in 13 countries.  For the past five years it has been the single most popular musical in American high schools as well.  Come see why!!

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast will be presented on the campus of Portsmouth Christian Academy, 20 Seaborne Drive in Dover, New Hampshire.  Evening performances at 7pm on May 8, 9 and 10 with a special matinee performance at 1pm on May 10th.  Tickets are just $12 for adults and $10 for students 18 and under.
