DOVER, NH — Joining in prayer with other students across the nation, Portsmouth Christian Academy at Dover students gathered around the flagpoles in two different locations on campus at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday Sept. 22. This was the 20th anniversary for See You at the Pole, the Annual Global Day of Student Prayer. This student-led event, which originated in Burleson, Texas in 1990, encourages students to pray for their schools, friends, leaders, and for their country.
An activity that began with one small youth group 20 years ago has grown to include students in all 50 states, as well as other countries. Students, faculty, parents, and staff from Portsmouth Christian Academy at Dover united at the school flagpole last Wednesday to participate in See You at the Pole 2010.
