DOVER, NH —Portsmouth Christian Academy will host a Red Cross Blood Drive – seeking community members interested in donating blood to the humanitarian organization that helps to save lives. The blood drive will be held Thursday, May 13 from 1:30 – 6:30 PM at Troiano Hall.
Donated blood plays a critical role in surgery and emergency care. A unit of blood donated can save as many as three lives. Being a volunteer donor will touch someone’s life.
No appointments are necessary. To be eligible to donate blood, healthy people must be at least 17 years old and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds; valid photo identification is required. For details, call 603.742.3617, Ext. 114 or visit www.givelife.org.
All presenting donors in May can enter to win a canoe from Old Towne Canoes and will receive a coupon for a free day pass to select New Hampshire State Parks.
Troiano Hall is located in the Upper School Science and Arts Building at Portsmouth Christian Academy, 20 Seaborne Drive, Dover. Visit the school’s web site at www.pcaschool.org.
