Elizabeth Marshall, teacher at Portsmouth Christian Academy at Dover, looks on with interest as 5th grade student Heather Chick presents her new concept “Ice Cream Toppings Extraordinaire.” While learning about simple machines and forces of motion, students were required to make a product to sell. Each product needed to include a blueprint, a 3-dimensional model of their product, material and instruction list, an advertisement for publication, and a letter to a potential buyer/company.
