DOVER, NH — Portsmouth Christian Academy announces the students whose experiments topped the annual Science Fair Tuesday, April 13. Students in grades 9 thorough 12 displayed their research projects and presented their findings to the judges throughout the day. Parents and friends attended the open house that evening to see the work and celebrate the winners.
Students began the process six months ago by submitting proposals for their hypothesis, writing research papers to demonstrate their knowledge of the chosen topic, as well as, experimenting and revising procedures to complete their presentation.
“Participating in the school science fair is an excellent opportunity for PCA students to think critically about science and get hands-on experience running a science experiment,” said Beverly Shevenell, Upper School science teacher. “Having a positive experience towards science at the high school level can possibly attract students to the field of science as a potential career.”
